Unveiling the Beauty: Debunking Misconceptions about Faux Florals

Faux Florals…No! At least that was my thought process when I was planning my own wedding. When my florist mentioned she may bring in a few faux pieces for a complicated outside installment I blanched at the idea. We did end of having all real florals at our wedding (minus a few fillers outside) and had a talented florist who brought our vision to life (thanks Christina!). However, I wish I had been a little more open minded and educated on modern day faux florals. When I thought of faux florals I imagined those crunchy petals with plastic stems and strings coming out and cringed at the idea of filling my wedding with that. I now know that that doesn’t have to be the case.

When we started on this business venture and began sourcing high quality faux florals, my opinion completely changed. The real touch flowers felt authentic to the touch. The stems were beautifully painted to represent a natural stem with changing colors and dimensions. The petal count of the flowers was an exact replica of natures real florals. This is a small detail that helps add to the true authentic look of our faux floral arches. The stems were not stiff and sticking straight up, but instead would sway in the wind like a real flower.

The process of creating the perfect floral arch consists of working with multiple different distributors to make sure that each and every flower is the best on the market. For example one distributor may have the best roses, but their hydrangeas are… meh. So we would source the hydrangeas from another distributor that had the highest quality and so on with all of our florals.

The reality is that in todays economy having a FULL floral arch packed with a variety of beautiful flowers is expensive, very expensive. Therefore many brides have to sacrifice on their statement floral pieces to stay within their budget.
